Hands-on Workshop on

CEREBRAL, VENTRICULAR, SKULL BASE
and SPINE NEUROENDOSCOPY

Welcome Message

Dear friends and colleagues,

We hope that you are all in good health and good spirits.

The 2027 IFNE- JSNE- GLEN- NESI-CSNE Hands-on Workshop on Cerebral, Ventricular and Skull Neuroendoscopy will be held in Naples-Italy from 1 to 7 February 2027. For another year, we have the implicit support of Japanese Society of Neuroendoscopy (JSNE), Grupo Latinoamericano de Estudios en Neuroendoscopia (GLEN), Neuroendoscopy Society-India (NESI), Chinese Society for Neuroendoscopy (CSNE). A special thanks goes to Centro di Biotecnologie A.O.R.N.” Antonio Cardarelli” that will help the realization of our event for another year. Thanks to extensive works of enlargement of working surfaces in the hands-on area, we will be able to offer excellent social distancing during hands-on still maintaining a good number of trainees (44) for 22 working stations. As usual, enthusiastic faculty participation will allow the excellent Tutor/Trainees ratio of 1×2 confirming the presence of a world expert at each hands-on workstation for two trainees.

The first three days are a common branch on Ventricular endoscopy, that will offer an amazingly complete overview of all the indications, technique and complications of endoscopy in ventricular pathologies, coupling detailed presentations with highly detailed ventricular models for ETV, septostomy, choroid plexus coagulation, intraventricular tumor removal with endoscopic cavitron, intracerebral clot removal, application of neuroendoscopy to navigation, intraventricular clot removal in prematures, endoscopic lavage in purulent ventriculitis and several models of endoscopic cylinder tumor surgery.

Day 4 and day 5 are organized to offer either a full skull base workshop on cadaveric heads on 12 working stations, with a 1/2 ratio of tutor/trainees with world renown either a full spine workshop on 12 workstations provided with highly detailed cervical and lumbar column for spine endoscopy, showing advantages and disadvantages of monoportal and biportal endoscopic techniques.

This year endoscopic repair of craniosynostosis will be performed on very highly realistic anatomical models of Scaphocephaly, Trigonocephaly and Plagiocephaly. Thanks to the contribution of the Japanese Society, this year very dynamic and realistic models of Internal Carotid artery rupture and bleeding aneurysm will be available. Our workshop welcomes senior, students and recent graduate neurosurgeons who practice or want to practice neuroendoscopic surgery. Between each session, participants will have the opportunity to network and connect with other scientists from all over the world.

Your active participation will undoubtedly contribute to a successful and productive meeting.

With warm regards,
